Although these tables were written with for Knave, they are pretty much OSR compatible. Well, probably compatible with your preferred rules system too. It's not that deep. I just really love the idea of character specialization being done through their equipment and limited inventory space as opposed to special abilities gained upon levelling. I haven't played many role playing games that adopt that kind of advancement, but the one's I have (like Knave) have been particularly fun.

6. Ghostsilk Cape. Become ethereal and walk through up to 10 feet of continuous solid material.
Books
1. A Field-Guide to Physical Culture. Once a day, you can add your Wisdom bonus, in addition to your Strength bonus on Strength saves.
2. Jhoon Yee’s Fighting Method. Deal damage equal to your Strength or Dexterity bonus on successful combat stunts.
3. Complete Bestiary, Abridged. Learn specific details of one type of monster. For 1 day, you can add your Intelligence bonus to your attacks against that type of monster. Limit one type per day.
4. Journeybook. Comes in pairs, whatever is written in one, is magically transcribed in the other.
5. Tome of Wondrous Power. 2 slots. Holds 1d6 random spells (min. 2).
6. Tome of the Profane. Flesh-bound spellbook that holds a random spell and fidgets excitedly in the presence of evil creatures.
